6.4.6 Release Notes

BPM 3000/4000 Series Autohandler

  • Released 4900 optional field upgrades for enhanced reliability and ease of use.
  • Implemented the ability to adjust the inspection height for Scanner Tech 3D systems. If the default device measurements do not produce the optimal inspection height, the operator can now fine-tune height offsets to maximize yield.
  • Enabled the Real-Time Job Summary report by default. If for any reason the system shuts down unexpectedly, the Job Summary is captured up to that moment and available for review.

Device Programming Enhancements

  • Automatically reload BP file when switching programmer model in BPWin to ensure the correct device configuration options are set.

Other Updates

  • Fixed an issue observed with certain devices where the program and verify operations would fail when using multiple sites.
  • Fixed an issue that began with BPWin 6.4.3 where the program operation would not begin if pre-session diagnostics is enabled.
  • Resolved a bug on 9th Gen that caused certain socket cards to fail diagnostics.

6.4.5 Release Notes

BPM 3000/4000 Series Autohandler

  • Improved the accuracy of the package auto-measure feature for leaded devices. The dimensional data gathered by the CyberOptics alignment camera is automatically populated into the package fields, reducing operator input.
  • The package-teach pick/place overdrive settings have been updated to include better default values for WhisperTeach systems to make the initial package setup faster.
  • Allowed BPWin to accommodate FVEG3 socket cards properly.
  • Added the ability to pause a job when a socket reaches its preset maintenance interval. This feature is enabled via a registry key.

Device Programming Enhancements

  • We added the ability for BPWin to identify and properly ID manual 9th generation programmers. These manual programmers IDed as “Automated Sites” will now be updated. JobMaster files are compatible; however, we recommend you resave the “.bp” file to eliminate the warning message that appears when loading.
  • Fixed the Image Formatting Tool to support DDR algorithms.
  • Updated the initialization sequence for 1-Up 9th Gen d-cards, improving yield.

Other Updates

  • Fixed a “Debug Assertion Failed” error message with expression “c>=-1 && c<=255” when loading data files with special ASCII characters.

6.4.4 Release Notes

BPWin Highlights

Broad support for HS400/HS200 modes for eMMC devices on 9th Generation sites and existing socket cards.

  • Program/Verify at up to 148 MBytes/second and beyond.
  • Support for these modes can be requested for existing eMMC devices that follow JEDEC specs 5.0 and above.
  • Built-in high speed image format tool specific for file extension types .bpmhs400 and .bpmhs200.

BPM 3000/4000 Series Autohandler

  • Updated the JobMaster Lockdown feature to be self-contained so that multiple systems can use the same ABP file without having to match the job permissions.
  • APS users now have the option to ignore the “nozzle is too large/small” warning message displayed after homing the nozzle.
  • Improved the operation of 9th Gen site stepper motors to prevent socket close failures.

6.4.3 Release Notes

BPM 3000/4000 Series Autohandler

  • Improved site stepper motor cycling on 8th and 7th generation APS by stopping the motors when the interlock is open. 9th Gen automated programmers already have this behavior.
  • Increased the range of 9th Gen socket motor force, up to 40 lbs.
  • Changed the 3D inspection motion sequence for leaded devices to capture images in a two-step inspection process.

Device Programming Enhancements

  • Added support for Renesas RPI Data Pattern file format.
  • Enabled BPWIn to update the CPLD pattern for some legacy 9th Gen manual programmers. If your programmer requires an update, the CPLD will be reflashed automatically within approximately 10 seconds. Please run diagnostics after the update and reload your programming job.
  • Improved buffer blank check feature to limit the error conditions to only Program, Verify, and Compare operations.
  • Fixed bug for Renesas UPD70F3532F1A9-KN7-Q-A (HCU Hex) on 9th Gen programmers.

6.4.2 Release Notes

BPWin Highlights

  • Added a feature to secure JobMaster files and ensure they can never be modified. This feature can be found in the JobMaster/Configure named “Lockdown JobMaster Files”. When JobMaster files are saved while this is checked those JobMaster files will disallow changes to any settings, regardless of the user having entered the Supervisor password and/or the Job Protection password.  This feature is ideal for critical job files that must not change.
  • Added checks to ensure hardware & software compatibility on 9th Gen programmers. 9th Gen programmers with CPLD versions prior to 107h will require an update which will be made available in BPWin 6.4.3. Run diagnostics to determine the site CPLD version.

BPM 3000/4000 Series Autohandler

  • Fixed an issue happening on upward vision systems where vision alignment was skipped when using the label presenter. This applies to the 3800MK2 and 3900 APS.
  • Resolved intermittent site motor failures that sometimes occur when the APS door is opened during the site open/close cycle.
  • Fixed a crash experienced when running a job session with Mechanical Benchmark as the device selection with an empty buffer.

Device Programming Enhancements

  • Resolved Read and Compare issues for eMMC devices on 9th Gen.
  • Added a feature which allows the user to abort the checksum calculation while loading a data pattern.
