Modern electric vehicles (EVs) use a variety of programmable semiconductors to control and monitor various systems within the vehicle. These semiconductors, also known as microcontrollers, are computer chips that contain a central processing unit (CPU) and memory and are used to perform a variety of tasks, including:
- Motor control: EVs use microcontrollers to control the electric motors that power the vehicle. These microcontrollers can be programmed to optimize the performance of the motors, including their torque and speed.

BPM’s Automated Programming Systems have up to 12 programming sites, with up to 48 individual socket cards, to support high-volume production. Our Vector Engine Co-Processor accelerates flash memory waveforms for programming near the theoretical limits of silicon design. The faster the device, the faster it’s programmed.
