IMPORTANT: 8MByte CMOS Flash Memory with an additional Hidden ROM Area.Each block of device can be protected by setting Device/Configure menu. Protected device can still be erased and programmed by programmerin temporary block unprotection mode. But the protection settingis unchanged after erase or program. The Hidden ROM area is mapped to buffer locations: 800000h – 80FFFFh.If Hidden ROM area is unprotected it can be treated as another memory block.Once it is protected no further erase or program can be done. And chip erase operation will also fail.Please note if Auto Range Detection’ is set to YES the Hidden ROM Area will not be programmed or verified. ‘
