BP software cannot load the TI COFF file (*.out) directly. Please use TI’s DSP Hex Utility to convert COFF file to Motorola-S file first.
Recommended command line is dsphex -m -memwidth 8 -romwidth 8 -order MS
TI flash utilities can be downloaded from TI’s web site.
Please set ‘Default buffer value'(Buffer/Options) to FFh and set ‘Byte order'(Device/Options) to ‘MSB=0LSB=1’ to
correctly load converted Motorola-S file into buffer.
To correctly unlock the device security a valid password must be entered.
On a virgin or erased device the password will be reset to all FFFFh.
The data in buffer locations [80h-87h] correspond to the 64bit password in device program memory addresses [40h-43h].
The password can also be viewed and modified under Device/Configure.
When programmed with the data it will then become the password required
to unlock the device during any operation.
