IMPORTANT: Securing the part and turning ON the RC oscillator are one time only operations. To set either optionplease go to Device Options. The Secure command will program the selected options. Once RC oscillator is turned on you may not be able to secure the device at a later time. Once the device is secured reading the device will return FFh forall bytes.
