3XXX Automated Programming System Installation Video

INSTALLING A 39XX SYSTEM PREPARE FOR THE INSTALLATION

Request a copy of the “Pre-Installation FAQ” document to prepare your facility for the install. It will specify the requirements for Power, Air, and Network.

UNCRATE THE SYSTEM

  • Inspect the crates. If any shipping damage is found, get documentation and photographs as evidence, and contact BPM for instruction.
  • There will be at least 2, possibly 3 crates. The largest crate is the 39xx Autohandler. The other crate will be the Accessory crate, and a 3rd will contain a TM50 Tape Loader (as applicable)
  • Use an electric drill with a Philips bit to open the crates.
    For the Autohandler crate, remove the top and all four sides of the crate.
  • Remove the plastic shrink wrap.
  • Remove the 4 mounting bolts from the underside of the pallet.
  • Locate the four machine feet and casters. They will be in a bag in the machine crate.
  • Use a forklift to pick the machine off the pallet.
  • Install the four feet in the outside holes at each corner. Screw them in about 6mm.
  • Bolt on the casters. The bolts may be installed underneath the machine where the casters go.
  • Move the pallet and set the machine on the ground.
  • Screw in the feet until them machine can roll on the casters, and roll the machine to the desired location.

INSTALL THE SYSTEM

  • Screw the feet out until they lift the machine off the casters slightly. Level the machine using the feet and a level.
    Remove any protective coating wrap from the plexiglass panels.
  • Open the door, and cut all the tie wraps that secure the handler during shipping.
  • Remove any blue protective plastic.
    Find the machine keys, and put them in the key switch on back of the E-Box.
  • Remove the Front panel and inspect the interior of the machine for shipping damage, i.e. dislocated components, disconnected cables, etc. Document as necessary.
  • Install the Monitor Arm to the frame.
  • Install the Monitor and Keyboard to the arm.
  • Make Monitor and Keyboard cable connections.
  • Make the system Air connection.
  • Make the system Power connection.
  • Make the Monitor power connection
  • Make the system Network cable connection.
  • Install the Light Tower.
  • Assemble and install all machine Peripherals. (See Peripheral Installation procedures for TS1500 Tray Stacker, TM50 Tape Loader, XStream Feeders, Single Lane Feeders, Laser Marker, etc.)

POWER ON, TEST THE SYSTEM

  • Power the machine on, and start BPWin.
    Test the Autohandler using all software diagnostic tools. (X&Y
  • Encoder Drift Test, Z Axis Encoder Drift Test, W Axis Drift Test)
  • Run Programmer Site Diagnostics with Diagnostic card.
  • Perform a Cyberoptic camera Y-COR calibration.
  • Perform a Camera-to-Nozzle Offset calibration.
  • Change the computer date/time as required.
  • Check the Laser Nozzle Calibration (if applicable).
  • Check full functionality of all options.
  • Tie-wrap all cables neatly.
  • Clean any trash from installation area.
  • Contact your IT specialist about putting the system on your network.

FINALIZE THE INSTALLATION

  • Review the contents of the spare parts kit.
  • Locate Programmer COC.
  • The system should now be ready to setup and teach first job.
  • Contact BPM to address any open issues.
